My cousin has a tank with a lone serpae tetra and a lone tiger barb will the serpae tetra kill the tiger barb.?

i have a serpae tank but my so my cousin wanted on like mine but he bought one serpae and one tetra but i would like to know if his serpae will kill his tiger barb.
