Remove the underline on links?

I'm building a website and would like to remove the annoying underlines on my links. Is there a way to turn them off? Ideally I would like the links to change color when I hover over them. Can that be done? Windows XP, Firefox Browser, Yahoo Site Builder. Thanks for your help.
