There hasnt been hot water or heat in my house for a week now?

is there anywhere else you can stay? can you afford a hotel and try later to recoup the money by taking it off the rent?...electric space heaters would work but dont set them on there highest [1500 watt] setting or you could overheat the old sockets or old wiring..i'm not too fond of the candle idea,due to fire hazard...i'm also concerned for you because others in the building are likely using candles or using space heaters that are old or otherwise unsafe and the building could catch fire with you inside,,thats why i suggest staying elsewhere in possible.......dan
